Gorrondona Engineering Services, Inc. (GES) is a Houston-based privately held Texas corporation specializing in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection (CMT). GES owns and operates truck-, buggy-, and track-mounted drilling rigs and maintains full-service geotechnical and CMT laboratories in Houston and Fort Worth accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and AASHTO. With a staff of 100+, including engineers, project managers, technicians, and support staff, we are positioned to handle any area project, small to large. Since 2006, we have successfully completed thousands of projects throughout the state of Texas and serviced private and public clients across multiple industries. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for using their experience in the architectural, engineering and/or construction industry to promote Gorrondona Engineering Services, Inc. in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by identifying new sales opportunities and maintaining existing client communication. This manager will continually research, develop and market to new industries, diligently creating new strategies to grow the company. See Company Information below.      
General Information 
The job requires traveling within Dallas-Fort Worth and the Texas region for client meetings and events as well as staying on top of current trends in the industry.

Typical roles and responsibilities 

  • Promote the company and services while working closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, GES engineers and project managers
  • Identify and solicit new market prospects in commercial, industrial, institutional, aviation and municipal sectors, etc.
  • Maintain existing client base, analyze client activity or inactivity
  • Stay current with market trends by reviewing professional journals and newsletters
  • Work within management team to meet company deadlines and sales goals
  • Inform management of client interactions and customer contact make recommendations on future marketing initiatives with clients
  • Attend multiple industry events that require early mornings and evenings
  • Prepare annual marketing budget analyze variances, initiate corrective actions
  • Oversee the RFQ process with management 

Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in sales
Bachelor or Master’s degree in marketing, business, finance or management
