Job Description
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager will assist with proposal completion of new contracts and will provide technical, budget and staff oversight for existing projects. The CMT Project Manager will successfully communicate with clients and contractors to ensure all around constructive experiences and timely project completion. This job operates in a professional office environment but may require extended periods of time working outdoors with moderate to heavy (75lbs+) lifting. Applicants are required to complete a background investigation, drug screening and driving record review.
Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and assist in preparation of proposals for new projects 
  • Monitor and maintain reports associated with proposal activity 
  • Provide management oversight for ongoing projects: technical, budgetary and staffing 
  • Perform site visits as necessary to address technical issues 
  • Meet client’s expectations by responding expeditiously to client phone calls and emails 
  • Maintain thorough communications with internal team: engineers, administrative team and executive team 
  • Review field and lab reports daily, ensure that data reporting is processed in a timely manner 
  • Report irregularities to engineers and supervisors 
  • Must follow and enforce all regulatory and safety standards with the team 
  • Anticipate personnel and equipment needs to accommodate future project completion  

Skill Requirements 

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness to meet project deadlines 
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License (extra compensation for CDL) and must continue to maintain a safe driving record to fulfill travel requirements of this position 
  • Must be punctual, reliable and dependable
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push up to 75+ pounds on a regular basis 
  • Applicants must pass background investigation, drug screening and driving record
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction Management)

2-3 years of progressive experience in the CMT and Geotechnical project management  ​
