May 30, 2017 - Gorrondona Engineering Services, Inc. congratulates our own Jeanne Julien and the Houston Chapter of WTS. Jeanne attended the 2017 Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Annual Conference on May 17-19 in Brooklyn, NY. While there, she accepted the 2017 WTS International’s Chapter of the Year Award on behalf of the HOUSTON Chapter. Jeanne is Vice President of GES and President of WTS Houston Chapter.

April 2018 - Jeanne Jullien and Chuck Salsky represented GES in the Eagle Open – “Where Business and Pleasure Meet!” supporting the West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce (WCCCC), Mont Belvieu. WCCCC is a dynamic business organization working to strengthen relationships between business, education, governmental entities and the community to ensure the long term economic health of the area.

The City of Houston selected Gorrondona Engineering Services, Inc. to provide construction materials testing and inspection for approximately 6,100 linear feet of the 108-inch diameter raw water line for Northeast Houston. Asphalt and concrete pavement restoration, sidewalks and driveways are included in this project.  GES is proud to be part of these improvements to the new Northeast Transmission Line.

July 2019 - GES is pleased to have been contracted to provide the geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing for the Civil Sitework phase of “The Market” at Springwoods Village retail shopping center project. Supporting the Springwoods Village community and beyond, this 170,000 SF retail center has a signature 100,000 SF Kroger grocery store, almost 20 new restaurants, a fuel station, and a variety of shops and services. Gorrondona Engineering Services recently acquired new toy. This drilling equipment is designed for geotechnical engineering, environmental protection or soil testing purpose at industrial sites.

July 2019 - GES is proud to have participated in this $7 billion North Houston Highway Improvements Project (NHHIP). Gorrondona Engineering Services was one of four firms selected by TXDOT to provide Geotechnical Engineering Services. GES performed approximately 16,000 LF with borings ranging from 40- to 125-feet below ground surface for Segment 3 which included the SH 228/US 59 interchange, soldier pile walls along US 59 from SH 288 to IH-45, IH-45 south of IH-10 to Pierce Elevated in downtown Houston. July 2019 - GES is proud to have been selected as the materials testing and inspection provider for this 742,000 SF mixed-use building which is the first phase in the Buffalo Heights district being developed by Midway. This seven-story building will have a first of its kind 96,000 SF HEB urban prototype store on the ground floor, 111,000 SF of parking for HEB customers on the second floor and a 122,000 SF, cast-in-place, third floor podium slab which will be the first floor for the 36,000-square-foot office building and a 232-unit multifamily apartment complex. The area is nicknamed “Buffalo Heights” owing to its location between the Heights and Buffalo Bayou. Read more here.
